He married Barbara Ann Nelson.[3] Barbara was born in Bonaventure Co., Quebec, Canada 17 September 1852, the daughter of David Nelson and Sarah Jane Bond. Barbara died 11 April 1921 in Campbellton, Restigouche Co., New Brunswick, Canada, at 68 years of age.

19 ix. Hazel Mary Mowat was born in Campbellton, Restigouche Co., New Brunswick, Canada 30 November 1893 and died 4 October 1974 at 80 years of age. Her body was interred in Campbellton Rural Cemetery. She married John Wesley McDonald in Campbellton, 6 June 1922. She then married George Gillbraith MacKenzie 21 September 1904.
